I'm one of those people who's always curious about things. How they work, what they do, and why. My eclectic interests have drawn me to explore many different mediums of art, from ceramics to oil painting, from glass blowing to digital art, from photography to music.
I have my B.A. in Fine Arts, with a dual major in Ceramics and Oil Painting.
I love carpentry, traditional woodworking and carving. I'm a self-taught blacksmith, and I'm currently teaching myself to weld. I work as an Agricultural Historian in my day job, specializing in 18th C. farming in S.E. Pennsylvania. I love to repair/restore old pieces of agricultural equipment, and to build reproductions, from stone boats to well-sweeps and A-frame harrows.
I'm also an avid scanographer and love to do digital manipulations of photos and scans.
So, you can see, I'm all over the place in my interests. I wouldn't have it any other way!
I had the opportunity today to get in a few photos of some of the beautiful trees near where I live. This year has offered some remarkable color, some of the best I've seen in a few years. Click for larger images & enjoy!
Beautiful color! Makes the cold weather worthwhile!
